ABOUT THE ARTIST
T.D. Deininger was trained as an academic realist painter and graphic designer but branched out to multi-media forms of artistic expression including sculpture, installation, video
and digital work. He was exhibiting his critically acclaimed pieces in galleries and museums through out U.S. and abroad when his wife and children began riding horses.
Always the consummate animal lover, Tom quickly realized the intense beauty and mystery of equines, and they profoundly captured his attention. He and his wife soon acquired a small horse farm in Tiverton, Ri. on which was an old cow barn that would eventually become Tom’s permanent art studio. Here Tom would turn his attention to horses as inspiration and subject matter, and go back to his roots as a realist painter and graphic designer.
Tom is now creating new works at a frenetic pace and has started exploring all the ways these intriguing animals can be depicted.
FORZA CAVALLO FARM
Forza Cavallo Farm is not just the home of T.D. Deininger's art studio; it is also a working horse farm with a focus on natural horsemanship. Set on 5 acres in Tiverton, Rhode Island, the farm inspires the Forza Cavallo collection and offers boarding and training for a small number of horses and their riders.
At Forza Cavallo, we believe in doing good with horses - and for horses.
Following the philosophy that the outside of a horse is good for the inside of the person, the farm has developed a program called Helping Hooves. Through this program, groups of developmentally disabled adults are able to come interact with the horses - making horse treats, helping with horse care, and enjoying the horse farm environment.
